Carclo Technical Plastics (Mitcham) Ltd announces that it has been recommended for accreditation to EN13485, the international standard for manufacturers of medical devices, by BSI.
Following a successful audit by its notified body, BSI, Carclo now expects its ratification during February 2007.
Commenting on the recommendation, Managing Director Patrick Ward stated “we are delighted at the successful audit of our Quality Systems and I would like to congratulate the whole workforce for their hard work and valued contribution.”
Carclo Technical Plastics (Mitcham) Ltd is the largest facility within the global Carclo Technical Plastics, a division of Carclo plc. The facility, located in South London, UK, at Mitcham, Surrey, has manufactured technically demanding injection moulded plastic components for over 40 years, concentrating on healthcare applications. The business increasingly adds value to its customer by assembling and packaging finished devices for the medical, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and ophthalmic sectors.
Clients are globally-located divisions of major healthcare corporations who are developing products for the highly-regulated medical industry. Products include medical and surgical disposables, drug delivery devices, reagent packs and diagnostic devices and ophthalmic equipment. Carclo Technical Plastics currently has manufacturing facilities in the USA, UK, Czech Republic and mainland China.
